Alternative to Encore?
I know this is a cross post but this forum gets way more eyes.
Eventually I’ll have to replace Encore with an alternative DVD Authoring software since it’s not supported anymore.
Any suggestions for professional DVD authoring software?
Suggestions based on personal use are preferred.Thanks

Encore has not been supported since cs6 but that does not mean you cannot make a dvd or blurays with the program. I stopped making DVD’s but I still make Blurays. I make my own menus in Photoshop.
I cannot think of one authoring program you can use your own custom menus from PS.———————————————–

Not sure what you mean by “not supported”. I have Creative Cloud 2015, and used Encore just this week to author a batch of DVD’s.
True, you no longer can use Dynamic Linking to export a timeline in Premiere directly to Encore, but I stopped doing that long before the functionality was gone. I simply liked using Adobe Media Encoder better for encoding my timelines, then import them into Encore. The current AME is much faster than Encore ever was at encoding.

I know it’s still usable, and I still use it as well. I was trying to prepare for the time in the near future where it will no longer function on a new machine I get, blah blah.
Basically, appeasing my neurotic boss.

I certainly understand the concern…
But….you can always
1) have a workstation setup with an OS to handle this. Doesn’t really take a whole lot of horsepower to do that if the media is already encoded. so it could be done pretty inexpensively.
2) Set up a Dual boot on your current machine
3) Maybe even set up a “virtual machine” on your current machine running the older OS.
