    Hi there,

I’m having trouble relinking some merged files I’ve created to their video and audio. I’m doing a short film and have been syncing lots of rushes.

    My workflow is the following:

    Ingest audio and video
Put them in a bin called simply ‘unsynced rushes’
    Synchronise them in a timeline
Created merged files from these synchronised files; these merged files are named according to the slate of the shot
Dump these merged files in their specific scene bins

However, I am running into problems when disconnecting and re-connecting harddrives (a necessity for the shoot).

When I relink my ‘unsynced rushes’ files, both audio and video, this reconnection is not reflected in the merged media I have created. I am left with a load of merged files which are offline.

One other thing I tried was relinking these merged files specifically to their rushes – this worked in the sense that the video reconnected but, quite predictably, there was no audio any more.

Is there something wrong with my workflow? Is there something simple I’m missing?

    Please help!

    Dale
