  after effects 7.0 crashes on import

  Program was installed and boots fine. But when I go to import something it freezes. I tried a re-install and still have the same problem. Any ideas?

  Here’s one for you: older ATI cards (on Windows) used to place the import dialog box behind the app window so you couldn’t access it. It looked like a freeze because you couldn’t see the import dialog or interact with it.

  Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

  I haven’t updated my graphics card. It’s worth a shot. But as far as my freeze, part of the window goes white and it clearly states the pogram is not responding.
