  Premiere Pro CC – M2TS Filetype

  So this capture device, the Elgato HD60, converts its recorded footage into MP4 from a M2TS filetype. Would it be better just to import the unconverted M2TS filetype into Premiere Pro CC?

  Converting it into an MP4 would take a bit extra time albeit a few more minutes, and does importing the M2TS file into Premiere Pro disregards the quality loss by skipping the conversion into MP4?

  (Oh yeah, and does Premiere Pro CC support M2TS imports?)
