Hi, I’ve read through a number of threads where people had issues with the search functions in Premiere. I’m having bizarre issues where I enter search terms in the “Search Filter” dialogue box and sometimes they work and sometimes they return nothing, though the clips or folders with the corresponding names absolutely exist. Could be because my project is HUGE (5000 clips, 150 folders).

And using the “Create New Search Bin” function does not have a “Folder Name” option. Using “name” does not return any actual corresponding folders with that name. Using “All Metadata” doesn’t return any results either.

So… I guess my question is, is anyone else having issues with Searching in Premiere? And how do you search for folders?

Could it be that my project is just so big that Premiere’s clip database got corrupted or something and that’s compromised Premiere’s capacity to return accurate search results? Is there some way to “optimize” my project so it returns accurate search results?

    Thanks for any help,
    Robert N.
