  • CC 2015 Freezes when I trim video

Posted by David Minter on June 19, 2015 at 8:20 pm

I just updated to CC 2015

My system is a Lenovo W530 Mobile Workstation 24gb/256gb SSD
    Windows & Pro 64 Bit

I have updated my Nvidia Quatro K2000m drivers
I have uninstalled Premiere and reinstalled it.

I can’t sync my settings to creative cloud and when I trim a clip the canvas freezes on the trim display and does not go back to the Monitor view when I finish trimming. I can save my work but the video overlay never comes back.

    Thanks!

    Dave

In the Timeline panel, click the Timeline Display Settings (wrench) menu and uncheck Composite Preview During Trim option. See if that improves your performance.

    Sorry Trent,

I have no selection named that.

I’ve posted my gear dropdown below:

Ah. I think you may have selected the Program Monitor Settings. Sorry for any confusion.

Within the Timeline panel, select the wrench button for Timeline Display Settings and you should see the option. Screenshot attached that hopefully helps.

Yes. Worked for me too (uncheck ‘composite preview during trim’).
Composite preview would be a good feature. Hope it gets fixed.

TRENT! Where were you 8 hours ago when I started tearing apart my system because I thought this was a hardware issue! 🙂

Thanks so much for the reply though, your solution fixed it for me.

Definitely annoyed that the updated caused such a headache though!

Seems to be an issue when you have certain audio effects applied. Either track effects or clip effects can trigger it. We have a bug filed. Please file your issues here: https://adobe.ly/ReportBug

    Thanks,
