    Hello
I have a brand new Asus ROG Laptop with 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD + 1TB 7200RPM HDD, and GTX970 on it (Win 8.1). Premiere Pro CC(2014) allows me to use GPU acceleration, though it specifies it is not certified. But it doesn’t boost the speed of rendering previews, or exporting, by much, if at all. the CPU processing speed drops to around 80%, so I presume the GPU does take some threading on itself, but RAM usage goes up to 8GB max.
I set up the systems power management to maximal efficiancy, and set the proccess priority of Premiere Pro and Encoder to ‘Real Time'(Task Meneger). It helps, but I expected more.
How can I further maximize the potential of the GPU and the entire system?

    Thank you

    Hi Benny,
[Benny Shklovsky] “doesn’t boost the speed of rendering previews, or exporting”

The GPU doesn’t accelerate those things much. It’s mainly for RT playback of effects and for some pre-encoding tasks.

As long as you are set up for hardware acceleration in Project Settings, you should be all set up.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
