Hiya. :] This happened completely out of nowhere. I can’t hear audio moving the cursor on the timeline like before while editing in Premiere CC.

I can playback the clip normally even in the sequence, but scrolling in the timeline itself does nothing. I searched through the options but maybe I missed something?

    HI,
This is 2 years later and I discovered the same issue with Adobe Premiere CC 2017.
    You need to go to
    > Preferences/Audio/Play audio while scrubbing <
If it is already ticked, un-tick it and accept the dialogue prompt.
Then go back to it, open up the dialogue box then tick it again. It worked for me.

Thank you soooo much for figuring this out. I just noticed I was having this problem and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to edit my videos. But now my problems fixed thanks to you. Thanks SO MUCH once again.

Like some people said you have to tick the Play audio while scrubbing option under Preferences/Audio/Play audio while scrubbing.

But I found out how it happened completely out of nowhere:
SHIFT + S activates and deactivates it.
Probably happend while mis-clicking while saving.

I know you asked this 6 years ago, but I wanted to share the new information with you ?
And this is literally the only page you find information about this, even 6 years later ?
