Fast Blur Mask turns Black in Premiere Pro CC
I added a Fast Blur to my video, then a mask on top of it in order to only blur only a small section of my video (Someone’s username) I tracked the blur so it follows the username as the video moves and as soon as I finished all of my blurs turned black! Any idea what I might have done or how to fix this problem? Is this just and issue with Premiere Pro?

Difficult to judge, the problem clip is not selected in the Effect Controls.
Try this: duplicate clip and superimpose.
Add fast blur to bottom clip.
Mask top clip with opacity.———————————————–

Just re-opened the filed and it was transparent for one second, then just randomly switched back to being black once I started adjusting the mask. Here is a pic with the problem clip selected.

Switch mercury to software instead of GPU.
I’ll bet it’s a graphics card, driver issue.

Thanks for the suggestion Alex, it seems to have worked.
I’ve been searching for this solution to the black masks for weeks now.
