  Dumb Shatter Effect Question

  Hi,

  Either I’m incredibly dumb or the Shatter effect in AE is a bit counter intuitive. Is there a way to get the shatter effect to start on anything other than the first frame of the comp? This seems like such an obvious control and yet I have never been able to find it. What I’m looking for is something like the “Physics time factor” in Trapcode’s Particular. Adjusting viscosity doesn’t seem to quite do it.

  Dave,

  Animating the “depth” under force 1 from a positive to a negative value does the trick.
