    Hello,
I have windows XP with SP2 Pentium 4 280Ghz 512 ram with the digital camera dcr-sr100 30gb hdd from sony that uses a usb connect to pull off videos from the camera onto my computer’s hard drive.

Problem is that when I import the footage into adobe after effects 6.5 pro and drag it into the comp icon to create a composition based on the footage, I get jagged lines on edges.

To sample images I have here for a green screen project, one is from after effects

and another is from windows media player which displays just fine.

Is like this when the camera focuses on outside objects outlining the sky in the background.

I have pinnacle studio and may just end up capturing the video from the camera into the video card which may work but I got the pinnacle blue box in storage and wont be able to access in a few weeks.

Also, with especially long footage over 3 minutes in length the audio comes out of sync in AE..

Must be a common problem but I search in creative cow and didn’t find anything..

Did you find the answer to your jagged edges? I have xml footage I shot on Panasonic P2 cards. NTSC 720×480 progressive. The footage looks great in Premiere CS3, but After Effects CS4 trashes the image. Diagonal lines have stair stepping artifacts. I have checked my compositions settings and cannot find anything amiss. What’s up with After Effects?

    Looking forward to your help.
