When setting a poster frame in Premiere Pro, it then often changes when making in and out points on the clip. I need it to always stay the same poster frame, otherwise the point of the poster frame is lost and it’s hard to edit scenes. Does anyone know the solution to this?

    Thank you!

How are you setting the poster frame?

    Hi Tim,

I’m setting the poster frame by landing in the thumbnail on the frame that I want it to be, and then clicking the button representing the function called “Set Poster Frame.”

…then are you setting in/out in areas that leave the poster frame outside the select? That would probably cause a reset…

Probably but I would like it to not reset the poster frame. Avid and FCP have never reset the poster frames so I was surprised about this. It makes cutting difficult because I need to recognize my shots right away. Do you know of a way for it to not reset?
