  • Creating a border between clips when using the cropping effect

Posted by Esther Casas on December 10, 2014 at 2:54 am

    Hello everyone,

I just used the cropping effect between two clips. I am trying to create a border between them, a black line that will move exactly the same as in between the clips, but I can’t find an effect to add the border when cropping, can anybody tell me where it is? if there is any? or the easiest way to make a black border between moving clips?

    thank you!
    Esther.

If you’re trying to have a black border between two clips that are MOVING, your best bet would be to frame them in a NESTED sequence (accomplishing the black border via the crop tool or a cropped black matte overlay) and then bring that nest in and keyframe your movement on it.

I use the Feathered Crop plugin from Creative Impatience. It has a color border feature. It is one of several free plugins that they make.
