It appears that when I try to drag a handle on an object in the canvas (ie color solid), I can’t just drag one edge and manipulate just that edge. The opposite side will also want to change as well. Is this correct?

ie. I just want to expand the right edge of a box but when I drag the right edge handle, the left side also want to move.

Is there a way to just drag one handle alone?

    Thanks!

That is correct. It all related to the anchor point which is dead centre.
Yes you can but its not very convenient: set anchor point to 0.0.
But then you also have to reposition the object within the frame.
