All the workarounds of the problem with PP Pro solved

Hi! I just downloaded the last version of PP CC I think is 13.1, and is totally buggy! nice UI but It doesn’t read video with alpha channel in layer with a RGB video, makes all kinds of artifacts while you play the timeline, it renders well and the final thing is ok, but there’s no way you can see what the H..l are you doing while editing.

Also fills my mac desktop with artifacts, you have to restart the mac to get rid of those.

My plugins (Red Giant) and drivers (Decklink,CUDA) are up to date.

Note: The video with alpha Channel was rendered in AE CC both last and new version and runs well inside AE, the mess is in PP

Let´s hope they fix this soon

    Best regards!

My whole team (8 people) just upgraded, have been using it all day on very different machines. Haven’t seen any of the issues you’re describing.
Maybe put down your machine configuration so the Adobe guys can take a look?

Thank you very much Kevin! It´s already fixed! Somehow the project settings of all my projects changed to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration, from (CUDA) to (Open CL) I switched them back to CUDA again and they run perfect!

    Thanks again for your support!

i signed in just so I could back you up on this.

I have a Windows 7 64-Bit w 16GB Ram and Quadro 2000 card updated drivers no special plugins.

i was working at top speeds and really enjoying PP for the first time in a while just last night (Ive been in Vegas for the last couple of years while Adobe solidified its platform).

Anyway, point is, as of last night’s update I cant play video back in realtime inside PP CC2014. also Media Encoder doesnt complete the render. I restarted. reinstalled, updated Quicktime, defragged. saved a new copy. tried a different drive. etc etc.

its buggy as hell. sorry, wasted a whole day of post on this mess.

You really ought to edit your thread title seeing you have (simply) resolved your problem and we can indeed “upgrade Premiere Pro CC!”. Just screaming “Shark! Shark!” is misleading and unrepresentative.

No worries. That’s all good. Glad it’s working for you. When I updated, my current timeline was all black with no clips showing, but after I rebooted it was all fine.

Had the same problem with the encoder. Try setting the renderer to Merc Playback Engine software only.
That fixed my problem. Good Luck.
