  Finding in Project: Custom Sift | Sift Selected

  The find in project procedure seems a little flaky to me, but I may well be missing a trick – please do enlighten me.

  I select the project panel and hit CMD-F to bring up the find dialogue.

  Firstly ‘enter’ (on a MBP) doesn’t ‘find’, I have to click on ‘find’ (or tab to it and spacebar)

  Secondly ‘find’ cycles through the found clips – is there a ‘find all’ offering?

  Now the search box at the top of the project is very cool and means there is less of a need for a ‘find’ dialogue, but sometimes I want to find all the titles that where created today and have ‘lower’ in the name…

  Hi Trevor,
  I hear you, Find could be a lot better. The cool thing is that it’s vastly improved in the upcoming version of Premiere Pro. We’ll have Smart Bins to add searches to. There are additional search fields to refine your search. There is also a killer new Find feature for the timeline with the same ability for custom sorting.
