unwanted behavior when moving clip up CC
example: my sequence has 10 video tracks. the timeline is squished down so that only around 4-5 tracks are visible at a time.
when I work on one of the upper tracks and move a clip for example from track 8 to track nine, then premiere automatically “resets” the view and scrolls down so that the “lowest” track (V1) is visible.it does that each and every time. and every time I move a clip in the upper tracks to another one I need to scroll up manually again. is there a way to turn off this behavior?
one more thing while I’m at it….
I got a 2h50min 1080p clip handed and need to do some edits on it.
It’s a mp4 which I dropped as is onto the timeline.
Obviously it took a while until premiere catched up and showed the preview when I hit play.
Now whenever I focus on another running program – even if it’s just for one second on a small textfile – and then switch back to premiere it takes quite a long while until the preview shows up again and updates when I move the timeslider. During that time the HD is always reading.
On a waek system this wouldn’t bother me but right now I am working with 64GB ram and there are 37GB free.
My memory preferences are optimized for performance and 6GB ram is reserved for other applications. (tried already a different settign with 25GB for other apps – but still the same problem)
Does anyone have a suggestion?
