Is there any way to see AE through my Tektronix scope/waveform monitor? I am having some issues with levels in AE not exporting correctly and I would like to hook it up to my scope if at all possible.

I am running Avid Xpress pro HD on an hp xw8000. That runs into an external Tektronix WVR 610A scope.

If that cannot be done what is the best way to ensure that the levels I send out of AE are what I am going to get in Avid? I put the Levels effect on everything that comes out of my AE. I do 16 black and 235 white for the output and leave the input alone. Is there a better way to bring my levels within 16/235?

    Thanks

Mmh, so far you are only considering one side, which isn’t very helping. Are you sure you are using the right import settings in XPress Pro? Have you turned off super-black and super white in XPress? To answer your question: No, you can’t make AE output a video signal via the mojo box. Other cards such as BMDs range can do that, though. Your best way to veryfy your colors is to use Color Finesse’s built-in scopes. Yeah, not ideal, since you need to open CF, but better than nothing.

Pretty certain that the Avid settings are right. AE is the only stuff that imports funny. Is this a place where Automatic Duck would come into play? I don’t have it and really know little about it except that it is an import/export tool.

    Thanks
