I’m having a problem with the new update that no longer allows me to drag multicam sequences into my timeline. The multicam sequences can still be created and previewed as such in the source monitor, but when I drag them on the timeline, they show up as each individual video file (albeit aligned in sync), and not quite the green, multicam sequence I’m used to seeing. I’ve done literally about 100 of these in the last month up until the new update (and had no problems previously). Any ideas? Even old multicam sequences can no longer be dropped into the same timelines they were already in.

If anyone else is having this problem, I’ve discovered one workaround for the time being… if you right click on the multicam sequence and select “new sequence from clip” a new sequence will be made that has only the multicam sequence on it that you’re trying to use. That can then be copied and pasted into another timeline.

Long story short, I’ve tried everything: matching sequence settings to a T, checking all my settings against each other, quit Premiere several times, rebooted my comp… nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Barrett,

Please check this post and the button on the far left of the sequence. If toggled on it will show all clips vs. keeping the multi cam in a Nested state. Just toggle it to other position and you should see your nested sequence like you normally do.
