So I have seen this work with Softron (expensive and fails from time to time) I have read that the BM DeckLink Quad works with all the major record and editing software. But has any one worked with this kind of set up?

4 HD-SDI Cameras into a BM DeckLink Quad in a Mac Pro configuration recording to premier pro / final cut / avid / Sony vegas? anybody?

I am looking for either another multi capture software or even a different hardware solution.

    Hi Lonnie,

Are we talking live event capture? If this is a situation where you can’t afford failure, then I would recommend hardware capture, either Aja KiPros or Pix series from Sound Devices, and even with those, we have a backup.

If you are able to do a backup capture with the cameras, then you could experiment with software capture, but there are so many more possible failure points that it doesn’t seem worth it to me.
