FCP to Premiere transition problems
I’m struggling through the transition. When you would make a cut in FCP, the playhead would kick back to the new edit point, not remain where the edit happened. Is there a way to get the playhead to automatically go to new edit point? It seems crazy to me that I have to move it to preview the edit.

When I lay down a new clip (or cut) to the timeline, the playhead goes to the end of the newly cut clip, which I think is what you want? Perhaps you can describe what you want to see and we can try to help you out.

in FCP, when I’d make a cut, the playhead would kick back to end of edit. in premiere it stays where it was regardless of edit.

I’m not getting that. Are you dragging the clip or taking it to the timeline via keystroke?
