  • Premiere Pro CC (2014 and previous) Crashes on Media Export

Posted by Mark Hubert on June 28, 2014 at 1:26 am

I’ve no problems with a project shot on my Canon 7D. On a project shot with my P2 camera – 720 30PN footage – which I’ve not had a problem before. I’ve done three projects with my current set up, now will crash Premiere while preparing data for the media export.

The progress window opens, AME launches with no problem, but then I get the spinning beach ball of death.

If I Export rather then Queue – it works.

I’ve check permissions on the folders.

    MacPro 3.0 Quad
    Plenty of RAM
    Creative Cloud
    Nividia Graphics Card…

The media is on the same RAID as the 7D footage.

Any clues, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem with CS6..
It started after I completely emptied out the Cache folder

So now I too Export rather than Queue
    and I miss Queue
    it was nice

When I finish the project I’m working on
I’ll give the Production Suit a fresh install
    Hope that fixes it..

I’m working with HDV footage btw

and am curious what’s going on too
