    Hi

I’ve got a sequence where I am replacing a bunch of footage made up of merged clips with 2-channel audio. I am replacing them with merged clips made of 4-channel audio. I’d love to be able to copy and paste the in and out points from the old clip onto the new clip, preferably in one move. Is this possible?

    Thanks!

You could take the original clips offline, then relink them, but point Premiere to the 4-channel media instead. If Premiere doesn’t like have having 4-channel audio in what it thought was a 2-channel track, then you could just match frame and drop the 4-channel audio into an appropriate track.

Shouldn’t have any critical issues, but err with caution and duplicate your project files first.

    Might want to check out:
Replace with clip > from Source Monitor, Match frame.
