    Hi All,

    Dont know if this is possible in AE – but am after creating an animated magazine, where the pages turn revealing specific content on the various pages – then finally finishing on the front page.

    I imagine this being shot, top down but at an angle – so you can tell there are other pages to the magazine but also see what is on each page.

    Is this even possible in AE, using Invigorator? Or is it more a 3D cgi project?

    Your only chance for some sort of realism would be Forge Freeform, but it hasn’t been updated in ages and I don’t know if they are even still selling new licenses. Other than that, you could try Digital Anarchy’s 3D Layer, but it is rather difficult to tweak your displacement maps in such a way they keep the illusion of bending paper… Perhaps looking for a 3D solution right away before wasting time on exploring ways inside AE might be the clever thing to do.

    If you have the Production Bundle you can use CC Page Turn. You’ll probably need to pre-compose the pages and use one page for one side and another for the backside. It helps if you set the filter up then dupe the layer and use backside only or frontside only… This way you can add a dropshadow to both sides.

    hope this helps,

    Look no father than Serge Hamad (top of page), here’s the link to one of his “examples”, many great AE projects with project files, this one is great;
