My director accidently cloned two hard drives and instead of cloning it duplicated the drives and erased the data of one hard drive.

I was wondering is there a way I can source the files from the system cache ( mac os) . We have tried alot of retrieval procedures on the external hard drive but the imac system cache shows me a ton of files … I was hoping is there a way I can retrieve the project files in anyway.

I managed to find the pek, mcdc and prmdc files.. how do i go about opening … or retrieving anything ?

You should be able to recover the data on the erased hard drive. Take a look at some of the tools available:

Hey Joseph, Thank you so much for the quick reply. We have tried most of the above softwares . We have sent the hard drive for a retrieval process. I did find the prmdc files in the cache memory of the machine, will they be of any help ?
