  • Exporting Multichannel Quicktime files with both Mono and Stereo tracks

Is there a way to export a multichannel Quicktime file from Premiere Pro CC that contains BOTH stereo and mono tracks? All of the ProRes files that we deal with (and need to create) are formatted as 6 Mono tracks (L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs) and a 7th Stereo track (for mixed Lt/Rt.) We can currently do this from Final Cut 7, which allows you to specify which pairs of tracks should be recognized as either Stereo or Dual Mono in the sequence settings and carries that over to the Export, but can’t figure out a method to replicate this process in Premiere. Exporting as 8 discrete mono tracks results in just that, and setting the export to “Match Sequence Settings” automatically makes the export Stereo, even though it is a multichannel sequence.

    Is there a way?

    Thanks!
