Hoping to get the new mac pro when it’s really available, probably by June…now I’m used to editing in latest Premiere Pro on my 2 x 24″ 1920×1200 monitors…What to do when get new Mac Pro for 4K?

10% of my edits are for broadcast, 90% for web…should I get a nice 55″ LG or SONY 4K TV as main reference monitor while using the LG 34 inch ultra wide thunderbolt display at 3440×1440 to edit with, or just get the LG 31-inch 31MU95 which is true cinema 4096×2160 and use that as my edit AND reference monitor, toggling to full screen when I need to play it full 4096?

    thoughts?

Have multiple instances of audio that need to be custom stereo panned for image. Want to do it clip-by clip. DON’T want to do it as track pan, but clip pan. Pr CS5.5 on MacPro 8-core Intel OS10.7.5 (Mtn Lion) doesn’t want to accept, let alone do, a clip-based keyframe pan effect (Balance). What am I doing wrong?

LG updated the 4K model name into 31MU97 and launched it recently in Korea and it will be launched in US Nov.
The main difference is color and aspect ratio.
31MU97 covers DCI-P3 97% or AdobeRGB over 99.5% but 21:9 monitors supports sRGB color space.
For editing, 21:9 aspect ratio & TBT could be good choice. For color grading or post production, 31MU97 would be the choice.
They also have 27MB85Z which is QHD 16:9 montior with AdobeRGB 99% & Thunderbolt2 and I guess they will launch it also US in Nov.
Maybe you can consider Dell 32” UHD but it’s a little bit pricy yet.
