I got a new camera, a Sony nex ea50 and I was trying out the 1080/60p PS (28 Mbps)setting but for some reason the clip doesn’t have sound in premiere or anything that I play it on, but the sound is there when I play it back on my camera.

All the other settings on my camera have sound except the 1080 60p PS setting.

I never used PS (28 Mbps)before and I can’t find much information on it, but I have a hard time watching them on any of my video players (there no sound on it either and it skips a lot) and final cut can’t log and transfer them, but can transfer all the other settings.

I can only watch the file perfect in premiere if I match the sequence to clip.

    Hi Christopher,

Best practice for any AVCHD format is to copy entire contents of SD card to your hard drive. Do NOT modify folders at all. Then in Premiere, Import using the “Media Browser”. This will give best results for tapeless media, especially in the area of sound, and for spanned clips.

    Thanks
