  Suite Consultant?

  Hey Herd,

  We are looking for someone to advise us on optimizing the workflow and infrastructure in our facility, which consists of four Premiere Pro CC edit suites all sharing assets and projects. Any leads?

  I’ve done some of this…usually through manufacturers…probably best to make contact and discuss what exactly you’re looking for, formats in use, OSs in use, etc.

  Thanks. We are looking for someone to mainly consult, not try and sell us their particular line of equipment. So far Walter Biscardi is the best person that fits the bill, but you would think there would be more.

  No…I don’t sell equipment or products.

  What I’m saying is manufacturers and developers have brought me in to troubleshoot workflows and make them run smoothly for facilities that are their clients…the equipment or software or whatever has been sold already and I make what’s there work as efficiently as possible. facilities moving into Adobe from other software have had to rethink how they go about things to really capitalize on the changeover.

  Basically I come in and look at the component software packages in a given workflow, the acquisition formats, the bottlenecks, etc, and help to work out the kinks and maintain visual quality with minimal processing time.
