Rendering is incredibly slow!
Posted by Raphael Rogers on February 21, 2014 at 2:30 pmHey guys, trying to export a simple 2 and half minute edit, that is simply HD. My computer specs are insane and premiere normally renders out red footage with ease. This stuff is just .mov’s and .avi’s. On windows 7. Cuda is enabled. At a loss. It says like 5 hours for an export. Any ideas?

February 21, 2014 at 4:46 pmMOV and AVI are not codecs. Those are formats. What are the codecs used with the MOV and AVI files?

February 21, 2014 at 5:49 pmBring up Task manager and go to the performance tab. Go under options at top and select always on top. Start the export and then take a screen shot once the rendering starts. Let me see what the threading is like.

February 21, 2014 at 6:02 pmThat is what I suspected. You have something at the beginning of the sequence that is not threading well. Offline the MOV files at the beginning and run the export see if the threading changes.
