  Premiere Pro lags on WMV export from Vegas Pro 11.0

  So guys.I seriously have a problem set here.
  One of my friend did his editing on Vegas Pro,and I work as both as an Editor as well as a color gradist.
  And unfortunately,the format,in which he gave me the file was in .wmv(Windows Media Video).

  I use Windows 7 so that’s not a problem,When I imported it into Premiere Pro CC,the video just lags like hell!!
  So,I thought of it was,a hardware problem maybe?But it wasn’t.I tried importing Canon 5D MKIII,NikonD5200,Canon 650D footage and played really smooth,I even opened up a project I’ve been working on and even (shot in 5D MkIII) it played with no lags (with after effects comps) at all.

  Anyone know a work around this or do I have to convert it with Handbrake?

  Could you not ask him for a proper format to edit.
  WMV is not an editing format.

  Yes,I know it’s not something suitable for editing with.
  The guy is kind of a newbie about these things.

  The deadline is tomorrow,so,I had to work with WMV,exported the final render too.
  Anyways thanks so much for the support Ann.
