Wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Every once in a while when I drag and drop an audio clip to the timeline, the clip sticks to the spot I dropped it, not allowing me to move it. After about a minute, it unfreezes and I can get back to work as usual.

I run a Mac pro (Mavericks OS X unfortunately), and I recently upgraded some hardware: Accelsior_E2 PCIe boot disk, GeForce GTX 680 graphics card. My computer runs like a hot rod now, but strangely this issue with the audio clips emerged after the upgrade. Everything else works flawlessly.

I should add, the project I’m currently working on, the one I’m having this problem with, is fairly complex. I have 17 audio tracks in use. Maybe that’s the problem – but I’ve had similar projects in the past with many audio tracks that didn’t do this. Confused?

    Cheers,
    Darren
