Problem Exporting at Correct Framerate
Hi everyone, long time listener, first time caller here. After trawling through the forum as I usually do whenever I have a problem, in this case I have not been able to find any suitable solution to the problem I’ve been having.
I have to produce short video reports to required specifications:
MPEG-2 (or MPEG-4 AVC or part 10, i.e H.264 in Final Cut Pro), PAL, 6000 kbps CBR, 25 fps, interlaced, 1-st field is lower, HD (1920x1080i) or SD (720x576i).
So, one of these specs is that we export at 25fps. Now, I’ve been shooting from a JVC GY HM-150 camera with the ‘System Select’ at 1080-50/25, then in ‘Record Settings’ I have it set to 1920/25p (because trying it at 1920/50i it did not seem to be really recording at 1920×1080).
Now, when I import this into Premiere it reads it as 25fps, and then I export it at 25fps too. HOWEVER, when I open the video it VLC media player and look at the codec settings, it tells me it is running at 50fps. I can’t send the video at 50fps and I can’t for the life of me work out how to get it to export at 25fps, despite trying a bidillion different export settings. Any ideas? If you need any more info, just holler.
Cheers,
Paul.
