The playhead doesn’t respond properly
Hi guys i have an issue with my timeline indicator/playhead, it doesn’t really respond properly when i press jump to next edit..
it seems to be really slow.. and sometimes it jumps back to the current edit just a sec after ive pressed “next edit” on my keyboard..i did a small video, explaining and showing the issue here:

Hardware specs:
I5-2400 processor
16 gigs of ram
7200 rpm harddrive
Cuda enabled 660gtx nvidia Graphics card -

Hi Jonas,
It could be a number of things, but I suspect it’s a performance problem related to your system. Do you have the media on a separate high speed array? What happens with footage that is not AVCHD and/or a less complicated timeline?Thanks,

Unfortunantly i have everything except premiere on the same drive which is one drive 7200rpm no array no raid..
On smaller timelines the issue persists but not as much as in the bigger timeline..
i have not experienced it with footage like h.264 mov files, as far as i remember..
This project IS a huge one with over 100gigs of footage, so i guess it must be the bottleneck called harddrive speeds..thank you for your response..

Yes, media on a second high speed drive might be the cure for your ills. Good luck!
