  DVC Pro HD Codec & AE 5.5

  Hello–I have a drive full of 720p (59.9 fps) footage that uses the DVC Pro HD Codec (as described in Quicktime>movie properties) I do not need to edit the footage, i simply need to import into AE 5.5 to complete a show open. I am currently running Quicktime 6.3 and After Effects 5.5 under OSX 10.2.8 and cannot see any of the footage in the player, or import into AE. Where can I get this DVC Pro HD Codec, and does it need to be installed into QT, AE or both? Please help, as the project is due Friday & I can’t find any info to help. Thanks, you guys are always the best–that’s why we keep coming back!

  Here’s the link on the Panasonic website to download the DVCPro HD components for Final Cut Pro which I’m pretty sure includes the QT codec. I can’t remember if this works with QT 6 or not, but you can try it.
