  • iMac vs. PC for Premiere Pro CS6?

Does Premiere Pro CS6 function better on a PC or Mac? Or are they about the same?

I am replacing another PC with a new iMac 27 and want to know if it better to get Premiere for the PC or Mac.

    Thanks.

Premiere runs fine on both minus bugs limited to the 10.9 release. However the PC will always have better performance configuration options than the Imac due to the hardware limitations of the Imac. If Imac fits your workflow and media it may not even matter. If it doesn’t then obviously the PC is the better option.

After cutting 2 TV specials on the Mac over the past few weeks, my opinion is that Win64 with a good graphics card like GTX 770 or higher is way faster and more stable than Mac with Mavericks or earlier OS. After all the lock=ups and crashes it will be a long time before I rely on a Mac again.

This running CC by the way, can’t speak for CS6 as it was never useful enough for me.
