Corrupted/damaged Premiere Pro CC project
My premiere pro project file corrupted when my computer crashed, and I’ve tried just about every suggestion I could find on the threads regarding the subject:
Boot while holding Shift (and Shift+Ctrl+Alt)
There is not a recent auto save (my laptop has been crashing constantly so I was saving like a mad person, and, not foreseeing this, I didn’t save-as…I know, shame on me)
No code is visible in XML Wrench
It will not import into a new PP project
It will not import into AEAny brave and generous souls out there with any more suggestions or would like to take a crack at it? I’m desperate to save what I’ve lost!

Premiere Pro CC files are gziped text files. If they are corrupted then it’s far less likely that you’ll be able to salvage them than when it was plain text.
I would call it a wash unfortunately. You could try renaming it as a zip file and using something like 7-Zip to see if you can crack it open.
In the future I suggest using dropbox and saving your project files to your dropbox folder. For free accounts I believe Dropbox will keep a few “previous copies” of the same file for up to 7 days (don’t quote me, read the fine print). This would allow you to restore a file that would usually be overwritten by a new save.

Thank you – I’m a huge advocate of Dropbox, but it doesn’t work while on our internal network. 7-zip didn’t work. I think you’re right – it’s probably hopeless but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that someone comes up with a solution.

Here’s a wild guess — find and try an undelete program or two.
If Premiere saves files by writing a new file with a temporary name, erasing the old file, then renaming the temp file, you may be able to recover an old save still hanging around your disk.
