  changing location of cache files

  hi all ive recently been taking a project worked on by computer A and finishing it off on computer B and I find it runs a bit slower than if I start and finish the project on computer B.

  I think this is because of the location of the cache files is changed when I switch from one pc to another (different hard drive configurations)

  I’ve noticed you can go to scratch discs in preferences and click browse to change the location but once I do this I expected to see the yellow conforming bar for some time while it remade the cache files but this didnt happen.

  Is there any way to do this?
