  Echo in CS4 playback

  Suddenly my short CS4 project has begun to echo in playback. First noticed when I opened Premiere to capture a voice over. Although the track sounds fine when played back in the camera, when I tried to transfer it had a distinct echo which was also there when I played back the captured track — then when I checked previously edited material, it had the same problem.
