We have installed Creative Suite CC in 7 Mac Pros in our company. I need to regularly convert a DV 16×9 Quicktime movie into an mp4, so I thought I’d use Adobe Media Encoder. Everything works fine on one machine, (a 2012 Mac Pro), but on our older 2008 Intel Mac Pro it says “The file could not be imported. The source file appears to be corrupted. Please check that the file is a valid file”.

Does anyone know why I can open the movie on one machine and not the other?

Same issue here! Did you solve it?
From working machine (Library/Quicktime folder) I’ve copied codecs to other machine but it did not work…very strange issue! VLC plays video just fine, Media Encoder give this error….
