So, this may be the wrong forum, I realize. But, if anyone could help me figure out how to get .VOB files and the related files to a point where I can edit them, I would GREATLY appreciate it! I have no clue where to start but I have Creative Cloud so, I have access to lots of software.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If the dvd has copy protect you are out of luck.

You copy the dvd to hdd. Then import the .vob files (which contains the video) into Premiere. You do not need the rest. Thats all.
If a movie contains ceveral vobs there can be glitches between the cuts.
Vob’s are not ideal to edit.
