Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Appcrash

Last few days on an otherwise stable system I have been getting Appcrash errors, which makes Premiere go white. Sometimes Media Encoder stays up, but most often that crashes too.

It usually happens when Media Encoder is also running.

Today’s Appcrash shows denoiser.dll as the culprit
Does this mean that the effect is causing the crash? That’s more useful than a lot of the error messages.
    But what to do?

    CS6, Core 2 Quad, Q9300 @ 2.50GHz, 8 gig ram, external G-tech USB hard drive,
    GEForce 9600 GT, Windows 7

    Thanks

If the denoiser dynamic link library is the culprit, then you might want to take the denoiser.dll file, and change it temporarily to denoiser.bak. Then restart Premiere Pro and see if the problem is gone.

It seems strange that a .dll would suddenly start having a problem, short of having been trashed somehow. Did your system take any electrical hits, or did it somehow crash during a boot up? This might have caused problems with the .dll file. If the problem goes away, you may want to reinstall PPro, unless you never use the denoiser plugin. You may also want to bring this up with Adobe tech support.
