Changes to PP CC Speed/Duration Functionality
Hi guys. In CS6, I could take a large group of videos from the project panel, automate them to sequence, then choose “Speed/Duration” to shrink all the clips to a desired length. After which, I would double click on the clip to open in the source monitor, then I’d change the in and out points in there (still keeping the same overall duration).
This all goes well in CC, until I try to change in/out points and discover that when I change the speed/duration of the clips, it makes them exactly that length and gives no option to extend afterwards, or change in/out points to be later in the clip. In other words, if I change all my clips to be 1 second long, then it’s as if I imported a bunch of videos that are one second long. All the data after the first second of video is inaccessible.
In CS6, it would TRIM the clips to be a second long. In CC, it treats the source video as if it were one second long, and gives no option to trim longer or change which second of the video you want in your timeline.
I hope that makes sense. Has anyone else experienced this? Before changing my workflow around, I’d like to figure out if there’s something I’m missing.
Thanks everyone!
