Using the EDL workflow from PrPr, is it possible for Speedgrade CC to load proper source clips used in a nested multicam sequence?

Or, do you have to do the “send to speed grade” workflow creating image sequences for each clip?

    Chris,
You can flatten your multicam sequence in Premiere Pro CC, and that will help generate a clean EDL for SpeedGrade.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Question about codec support for SpeedGrade. Does it read Sony XDCAM EX clips? Like Premiere in how it can use the native file structure from the BPAV folders? I flattened the mutlicam clips, exported and EDL, but the .mp4 files within the BPAV folders aren’t viewable or usable within SpeedGrade.

Looks like exporting image sequence is the only route when sending a Premiere sequence using XDCAM EX clips?

I have the same problem. Speedgrade CS6 can’t open XDCAM EX media. I have footage from a Sony EX3. Premiere CS6 deals with it just fine but when I export an EDL for Speedgrade, I haven’t been able to reconnect the footage.

I navigate to the BPAV folders in the Speedgrade desktop. It shows the files, but is unable to open them.

Short of upgrading to Speedgrade CC, does anyone have a workaround?
