I’m switching from FCP, and can’t get markers to work. I’m using footage straight from a Canon 5d Mark iii, so maybe that’s it?

But the markers work in the timeline, but not in the source panel, where i’d like to use them. I’ve got the waveforms open, but the markers drop down has “add marker” grayed out.

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? my guess is, it’s user error. I just don’t know what. And am not finding an answer in the CC or Adobe forums.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jana,
Can you try resetting your Preferences? That might help.

You should definitely be able to add markers in the Source panel with a keyboard shortcut or menu command. Just make sure the panel is selected.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
