  • Reference window – can it play back video dynamically?

I have the Reference window input set to Composite Video, and Gang to Program Monitor is checked. But when I play my sequence, the Reference window does not play back the video – it stays paused on the first frame. It does update when I pause my sequence, but I would like it to update dynamically, just like it does in the Program window. Is this possible?

My ultimate goal is to have the Reference monitor playing back my sequence, while the Program monitor is in Multicam mode. Don’t know if I can do this, but it sure would be helpful when editing mulitcam slide lectures, where I am frequently stopping to drop in a slide. Switching the Program monitor back and forth between Multicam and Composite is tedious. I actually miss the breakout/floating Multicam window from CS6.

[Mike Weber] “I actually miss the breakout/floating Multicam window from CS6.”

Has this feature been removed in the new CC version? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

An alternative approach is to enable a second monitor for simultaneous full-screen viewing.
