  I-Frame Only MPEG CS6 Premiere Pro

  Hey, Im having real difficulties changing the video preview codec away from I-Frame Only MPEG.
  Even when I start a new project I try and change it and its just greyed out. I understand half way through an edit it cant be changed but even when I start fresh, its all greyed out.

  Its making it impossible to share projects on different machines and is a real problem that I cant solve. I read a blog which said try ‘Find and replace’ I-Frame Only MPEG to Microsoft AVI in Dreamweaver, but It doesn’t seem to work.

  Im using latest Mountain Lion OS Mac and Premiere Pro 6 – any help would be much appreciated.

  Ser tediting mode to “custom” (first option on sequence settings tab) and this should lift most restrictions. Be aware that arbitrary restrictions may be placed on preview codecs depending on frame size, frame rate, and so on.

  but what SHOULD the preview be if it is only a preview…can it be small? what codec? all my presets come in as I-frame as well for the preview.
