    CS6 with all updates.

This is something that happens in Encore, but the Fix is to do something in Premiere Pro… I know it sounds crazy, but here are the symptoms and a potential solution…..

For Reasons I don’t understand, Within the past 4 weeks something changed and I can no longer access any of my Encore Sessions… It loads part-way, then gives an “ACCESS DENIED” prompt, and goes back to the Project Load Page….

So Why am I posting in PPRO area? Because of Dynamic Link!!!!

I was Dynamic Link from PPRO to Encore, and partway through the Import Sequence Transcode, the Import Sequence box starts “Vibrating” for 10-15 seconds, then goes Not Responding….

I Tried to run Encore manually, and got the “ACCESS DENIED” on ALL Project loading…..
Did a search on Encore Access Denied…. and found lots of people having it… and the “Fix” is to start Encore “Run As Administrator”
Now all my Encore Projects load fine… What the Heck????

But that doesn’t fix Dynamic Link from PPRO….

So, being rather desperate…. I closed PPRO and Restarted PPRO “Run as Administrator” Opened the video project that wouldn’t Dynamic Link to Encore before….. and Dynamic Link’d to Encore Just fine!!

That’s Why I’m posting about Encore in a PPRO Area!!!

(I’ll post same thing in Encore area too….)

I gotta run… I’m hours late on this BluRay burn!!

I found one problem with this “Fix”…..

Run as Administrator does allow Premiere to DL to Encore successfully… BUT…..

If I “Run Premiere As Administrator” My Shuttle Pro V2 knob then doesn’t work!!

Methinks the better fix would be to not have to ‘need’ to run Encore as Administrator!

Better fix would be not dynamic linking between Premiere and Encore. I’ve only had trouble with that.

That statement is wrong in so many ways… DL from PPRO To Encore will automatically update Encore with PPRO Revisions to the sequence….

Importing into a stand alone Encore project won’t correctly do that.

I have done subsequent tests and I can’t frankly tell why Encore must work this way today, and didn’t 4 weeks ago….

I found another issue with the “FIX” (Right Click on Encore or Premiere Icon, and “Run As Administrator”……..

When you do this, You’ll find that if you use a Shuttle Pro V2 knob, it will stop working, as it is not not running ‘As Administrator’, which only prooves that this “Fix” is a poor patch…. and not a fix…

    Please Fix!

Thats fine if you’re ok with Encore encoding the video for blu-ray.

Some of us prefer not to.
