    Hi

Sorry not an editor.. but a question anyway..

I have a Sony PMW500 that can shoot XDCAM EX MP4 or XDCAM HD 422 UDF MXF files. Some editors have had trouble getting the files into FCP.. I think mostly as log and transfer doesnt work with the UDF files..

Have a shoot were the editor is using the above,Adobe Prem CS5.. (thats all i now) is just shooting XDCAM EX MP4 going to be alot easier that dealing with UDF MXF XDCAM HD.. either one is ok for the shoot..

    Any thoughts…. ?

    Thanks

Xdcam transfer is a free download and works seamlessly with FCP- not sure with premiere

It would be wise just to do a test rather then take someones word for it. Ive seen issues with XDcam but there are so many variants I cant say if you would have the same experience. Best to test.
