  Bring Back Deleted Audio

  Hello,

  I was wondering if there was an easy way to bring back deleted audio in the Adobe Premiere timeline.
  Basically I have a big project and I had the video locked and deleted the audio without noticing.
  Many undo’s and saves later I noticed this. I supposed I could right click and view clip in project then use that but with a large clip I was hoping there was an easier way.

  I gather that you didn’t do incremental saves – start doing that with future problems and you’ll be safe. You still have the clips, correct? I mean you only deleted the audio within Premiere Pro and the video with audio is still on the system?

  What I’m thinking is that maybe you can replace the video clips with the ones that had audio, thereby bringing the missing audio back in. I guess I’m not sure whether you deleted audio that was interleaved with the video (that is part of the video track, such as a person speaking, or ambient sound), or just inadvertantly deleted separate audio tracks along with the video.

  Do a “match frame” on the clips in the timeline(check the help file for info on doing a match frame, super useful). That will open the timeline clips with in and out points in the source window. Just drag the clip back to the timeline with audio.
